What does working for Optimised mean to our people?

We caught up with our Service Manager, James King, on what working for Optimised meant to him.

How would you describe Optimised in 3 words?

Innovative, Focused, Unified

What do you like most about working here?

Staff are approachable and supportive at every level of the business. Respect is shown to all employees regardless of status in the company and feel that my opinion and suggestions are valued.

Optimised show an intimate and unified approach towards clients and offer much more than a one-solution perspective towards Net Zero and Sustainability. This access to knowledge and skillsets has allowed me to understand energy cost and consumption management, from procurement to pro-active and reactive approaches for true Optimisation.

Where do you see Optimised in 5 and 10 years?

I believe our offer of services and level of expertise across the business is unmatched within our respective industries and that can only increase. In 5 to 10 years, I visualise Optimised being a benchmark for the industry in terms of client expectations in both offering and delivery.

What’s your most memorable achievement / experience within Optimised?

My most memorable achievement was being offered the opportunity to move into the role of Service Manager. After joining the business in September 21 as an Optimisation engineer, I quite quickly recognised the potential of the business and as a focussed and dedicated individual, I adapted to the Optimised way and offered support in every task that I was involved with. This allowed me to prove to the business that not only can I become a key member of the team, but I have the ability to take a leading role.

Since accepting the position, not only have I gained a strong and trusting relationship with my team, but I have been given the opportunity to work alongside my fellow leaders within the business and recognise that we all have an innovative approach to our respective departments, but all share common goals and have offerings that will benefit the overall business.
