Last year, Optimised put wellbeing high on the agenda and sought to improve the support offered, both professionally and personally, to every employee.
The previous package offered enhanced annual leave, buy, and sell leave, enhanced parental leave, free refreshments, an annual flu jab, private medical insurance and hybrid working.
We wanted to go one step further, to provide extra wellbeing support that align our benefits more closely with our B Corp values. We therefore added the following to our package:
Because we care about employees’ futures, we engaged with a specialist to review our current pension scheme to ensure we are providing the best plan in the market. As part of this review, we committed to increasing our company contributions from 3% to 5%, matching and aligning our pension with an ethical provider.
Travel accounts for a huge part of our carbon footprint and to help reduce this, we introduced a cycle to work scheme, free annual Railcard, and an electric vehicle scheme through salary sacrifice.
All employees have a professional development allowance of £750 to ensure they can continually progress and excel in their field.
Giving back to the community is invaluable, so we have provided employees with one day leave each year to support a cause of their choice.
We have removed the current three ‘waiting day’ clause within our sickness entitlement and increased our company sick pay entitlement to 4 weeks so that our employees can focus on their wellbeing and return to work when they are truly ready.
We have increased our bereavement leave to support those experiencing loss.
This can be paid out to any employee nominated beneficiary.
The YuLife app offers confidential advice and counselling, rewards for simple healthy activities, such as walking or meditating, and the chance to compete on the company leader board!
We plant trees in our Ecologi forest for every client win, birthday and first work anniversary. It is a wonderful way to celebrate and support our global ecosystems.
